2000.08.24  Principal Wu Wen-Hsien was the preparatory chairman of the new school. 2000.10.19 It was named Tainan Munucipal Yizai Elementary School . 2002.01.02 The first stage of school buildings was started constructing. 2002.08.22 The second stage of school buildings was started constructing. 2003.01.04 The first stage of construction was completed at this time with 36 class group classrooms. 2003.09.04 The first stage of construction was completed at this time with administrative building, specialized classrooms and 12 class group classrooms. 2003.08.01 The school started the recruitment of students. 2004.08 The school was appointed as the seed of information education school.

＊Participation of School Naming

The principal Wu Wun-Sian invited local representatives, the heads of lanes, and city congressmen to discuss the name for this new primary school. Two names were deliberately selected and sent to the mayor for the final decision. This is an innovative procedure of determining name for new school, which allows the authorities to value public opinions and participation. The procedure reveals the wants from public and shows respect to their opinions

＊ Green School of Ecological Features

The school is located in Anping area, where possesses abundant ecological resources. Therefore, it has been taken into considerations on the construction plan of the school. Physical environment of the campus features natural ecology and environmental protection.  For these two concepts of energy-saving and environment-safe to be implemented, electricity generation by solar energy, artificial water-land, hogwash recycling, and other facilities are utilized, which allow the school to advance in the goal for becoming a real green school.

＊ Integration of County Feature and Local Humanity

Neighbored upon many historical sites, such as the Eternal Golden Castle, Anping Fort, etc., the school building features the humane characteristics of Anping. Design of front gate combines architectural features of Eternal Golden Castle and Anping Fort: clock tower and castle.  Buildings of the group classrooms adopt ancient Anping architecture (Collective Yard Style).  They enable teachers and students to experience the beautiful and graceful learning environment in school.

＊ Versatility of Learning Environment

Classrooms are divided into groups for the purpose of Classroom Grouping Teaching, which ideally complies with the concept of the Nine-Year Integrated Curriculum by MOE. The extraordinary new design differs from the traditional classrooms but to provide the students with a more modernized, informative, innovative, and various teaching and learning environment, which makes the campus an exploration paradise full of joy and fun in learning.
